hello! I recently started collecting as a long term investment. I just received 20 silver eagle coins 2011 and I couldnt avoid noticing a yellowish, light, stain on some of the coins. the coins did not come sealed. I hope there is nothing wrong with my coins. does any of you know about these stains?

It's most likely just toning...are they proofs?

If the toning is light, even, and attractive. It can be considered preferable by some.

However, this is usually for collector ASEs, not necessarily the bullion ASEs. I personally like any ASE with a nice even, modest toning.

Without pictures, we can only speculate. I do know that many bullion Silver Eagles are affected by milk spots, whiteish spots caused by planchet rinse residue.
