Hello, anyone know of an appraiser in Atlanta who knows ancient coins? I am having a difficult time identifying one. Thanks in advance.

Hi George

A quick search came up with Larry Jackson and Terrasani Ancient Coins in the Atlanta area.

But if you post a picture here, someone can probably identify your coin for you.

Why don't you post pics here? You'll get plenty of input/opinion. None of it will be "binding", but it would still be useful and cost you nothing. If you want a formal certification, probably the best known is David are Sear, who runs ACCS. You'll have to mail your coin off, however, and it will cost quite a bit of money.

OK, what's going on? I type "David are Sear" and the forum changes it to David are Sear?

Wei Fun......that exact thing happened to me with the are thing.

Part of the spell checker I guess. Maybe it's R.

Yep that works.

I took your advice and sent it off to David Sear. I talked to him on the phone and he was very helpful. There is no one in Atlanta who has a clue.
