Hey I was wondering how can you distinguish the dif between a regular coin and a proof, I have a 1994 Kennedy that looks really nice and defined how can I tell if it is a proof or not?

Any "S" mint mark Kennedy half will be proof, 1994 had both silver and clad "S" proof coins. The mint mark is just below JFK's bust.

If its silver it will be solid white on the edge of the coin, Clad will have a noticeable band of copper.
