So a buddy of mine told me a few days ago that he had a silver dollar coin but didn't know what kind he brought it over tonight and its a 1800 Heraldic Eagle only problem is we don't know if its a replica or not. Does anyone on here know anything about these coins or know the difference between a replica one and an authentic one?

If it is reeded or has a modern looking squarish rim, then it is a fake. A genuine one will be edge lettered and have dentils along with a 27 gram weight.

Is there any silver value in it if it is fake?

The vast majority of fakes have no silver content but of course, it is impossible to know without examining and weighing the alleged coin.

Im pretty sure the coin is a fake then cause it has rigged edges but my friend also had a 1932 peso that I took off his hands. =)
