I started in 86' on a whim because I always liked the Walking Liberty halves. I'm very glad I did. $7-$8 each if I remember right. I only wish I had done the proofs when they started. Are you buying to start a set or for bullion?

Are you getting this ASE to collect, or is it the beginning of a silver investment? Will you be buying low, selling high?

Its uncirculated and I bought an air tight container for it. I'm not really going for sets more for bullion. I'm trying to begin a silver investment I think next paycheck I'm going to get a couple 1oz silver bars.

Check out 90% silver, it is widely recognized and you may find some designs you like. Who knows we may be able to make a collector out of you.

First, congrats on the new and 1st ASE! They are terrific coins and very well worth collecting. I have some and they are great. Quote: Check out 90% silver, it is widely recognized and you may find some designs you like. I agree with this 100%. The 90% silver US coins are also great for us bullion collectors. In lots of cases, they are among the least expensive silver one can buy. They are also instantly recognized as being of good value for their silver content... at least, among those who know what silver coins look like. lol The Walking Liberty and Kennedy halves are also quite nice.
