In my opinion, this coin is a counterfeit.

Check out this picture for comparison. The top image is that of a genuine 1921 Morgan. The bottom image is your coin. Look closely at the shape of the 9 in the date, and more specifically the shape of the inside of the loop of the 9.

If you have a gram scale, you can weigh your coin. It will almost certainly be underweight. A genuine Morgan weighs 26.73 grams.

I'm no expert in morgans at all and I would never trust my advice, but the first thing I thought when I saw it was fake also. wait for others to chime in as well.

well I just bought a gram scale and should be getting it within the next few days and ill let yall know how much it weighs

by the way where on earth do you work? you found a Morgan dollar and a 1909 vdb at work?

i work at Walgreens lol my girflreind works next to me at another Walgreens and this guy paid with 5 silver dollars
but yea ill post some better pictures and I'm going to get my scale in a few days I alrdy ordered it

well I weighed it and it just so happens that it was over the 26.73 I dont have a top notch scale or anything but I figured it cant be that much off

It falls into the tolerances of being genuine. It's a very common date. On the scale, there appears to be remaining luster.

That scale appears to weigh to tenths, in which case 26.73 would show up as 26.8.

A new US nickel should weigh 5 grams, a clad quarter 5.67.
