I have a 1980 Liberty Quarter that has no reeded edge and the D minkmark is completely filled in. Is this an error? Is it worth anything?

washington quarter, not liberty. filled in D is normal. lack of reeding on the edge is from being used in arcades, vending machines and the like. worth 25 cents and nothing more.

It is common for quarters that age to have the reeding worn off from extensive circulation. It's also common for coins (particularly half dollars) that have spent time at a casino. Filled mintmarks are common and are caused by a slightly damaged or degraded die and don't normally add value to a coin.

First of all .... to the forum Katybeth!

I agree with the others that while it may appear unusual, this quarter is not a valuable numismatic item.

Hoping to see other coins and contributions from you.
