Sooo ... here is a key date to the series in a PCGS holder ... indeed a tough series for me to grade ... wondering how you folks will do with this one? Throw out all your opinions ... any and all comments are valued. David

I'm going to say it's an XF-45 based on the wear in the hair underneath LIBERTY. Very nice coin though..

Wow, David, nice coin!
I'd have to go with AU-50 at least! Maybe AU-55?

AU-58 Excellent coin Rims look exceptional. Great detail with no dings And the photo is great. Definitely worth two bananananas

AU55 easily. I just sold a filler 1886 Liberty nickel that I got from a junk coin box for $57

i would guess ef40. the reverse brings it down, imo. especially the hits to the "e" and "s" of states.

I'm with Johnny: AU-50.
I really like the detail but the lack of any luster (it may be the picures?) look like it's been cleaned.

You folks are good. Plenty of original luster ... just did not show up in my poor photos. Here is the coin in slab ... And here is the coin in my Dansco ... looking just right in that slot with the other XF40 to AU55 examples. Thanks for all the comments. David
