Saw both of these 1858 FE penny SL on ebay,lost the bid on the first. # 330045224770 the other one # 260048935231 check out the two pics the 2nd one has more 2nd tail feathers(ones from the back) also look at the eyes. The good one got away I think. SOMETHING WRONG? Bird out |

I have had the second one in my watch list since it was put on ebay (even though I will not be bidding on it) and it is a beautiful coin |

the second looks real to me, I may be wrong but it must look real to others also to be up to over 200 bucks. keydatecoins ususlly has some nice coins he is selling in ebay and this one is just another example of a nice one in my opinion. Nothing jumps out and says fake to me maybe you or someone else can see something I am missing and if so please let me know but it sure looks real to me. here is the one I have in my dansco album   Edited by Bryan1315

Now your is a nice lookin coin. look at the beak on your then his,also the eye? Your look like the 1st one ,but better grade. Unless his is a large letter,looks like it. send a email to see if is the large letter.Look at the last 8

I dont think his is a small letter either, mine is and the first one you posted looks like it is also, but the other one has larger letters it looks like

He did revised his as a large letter. Guess I need to compare apples to apples. Thanks Bryan.Also would like to forward the email about the SL TYPE 1 QUARTER

The 2nd auction was pulled. For a mistake in listing,wonder if this coin was a fake? Email seller to see if he was going to relist,no answer!! Bird out

no, that seller is notorious for ending the auction if the price isn't up to what he thinks the item is worth. I usually have a few of his coins in my watched list because he has some nice coins but he does that allot before the last few hours if the item hasn't reached a price he feels the coin is worth, and I mean ALLOT!

I agree, but I also know why he doesn't put a reserve on his items, most people will not even bother to bid on an item that has a reserve so you will definately lose bids that way. I would just put a BIN on it and say heck with it, he has a ebay store so he can probably let his BIN items sit there for like 30 days |
