Alright, I just had four listings removed for saying things like 'books for around $100' in the description. I've seen referencing grades or prices in the TITLE enforced, but I've never seen the description enforced (I always see people doing this on raw coins and figured it was okay). So my conclusion is that someone is reporting my listings, probably someone vindictive etc...or is this happening to anyone else like as in some 'crackdown'? I've done this for years and never had any removed. I mean, don't they have better things to do? Like going after dishonest sellers who crack out coins from heritage problem slabs and sell them with poor photos to rip people off?

I'm only selling bullion lately and haven't noticed anything. It's probably somebody being vindictive, although it would be nice if ebay were actually enforcing all rules for a change. We can only hope.

I have had images removed lately that I used to get by with. I think ebay has upped the filters power. I had images rejected because they had coincommunity.com in the html too. ebay wants you to pay for extra images through them with no exceptions unless the host of the image has ebay permission. I don't remember the key words that were in my descriptions but they got me on some silly stuff where I had to re-word things. I also got a pretty stern warning if I remember. I don't think you are getting reported. I think they catch ya with the filters they have looking through all the listings.

What also makes me think reported is that two got removed at a time; the first two two days back, and then two more today. I wouldnt be surprised if they upped the filters power though.

Yeah, you're not allowed to mention value, even in the description. ebay doesn't troll for it, but if reported they will remove it so someone did report them.

Good to hear...anyway, sounds like somebody is after your auctions. I've never used the Bay because my coins sell quite quickly here.

Don't know where you got that from but it's 100% not true. I have an opinion that ebay wants to charge for every image over the first free one. I should have said it is my opinion rather than acuse them, but for me that's the way it appears. I re-listed an auction of which I entered the <img src= etc. with an image I have hosted on CCF. Last week I had 14 listings I put up. There were images showing just fine in the listings until I cleared my cookies and temp files. Now ebay is nice enough to replace the images with this image that speaks well of CCF but it does mention bandwidth and permission. I find it to be a strange "block" but there must be many others like it that ebay has to replace unwanted images within the descriptions. I had to go back and edit all 14 of my listings and remove the html in the descriptions to clean them up when I found all my larger images that those ebay allows in the upper left corner of every listing. Here in this auction, within the description, you will see ebay has replaced my CCF hosted picture with the new "sign" about bandwith permission and Coin Community. [eBayItem]300573144256[/eBayItem] Maybe, just maybe CCF is somehow protecting images and this has nothing to do with ebay at all. I thought we were allowed to use images for ebay auctions that are stored on CCF? Here is the "sign" I wanted to keep an image of it.

That's me protecting my bandwidth from commercial use. The gallery is a free perk for showing off collections and posting here.

I use Photobucket to host all of my ebay auction photos and I have never had a problem.
