Saw alot of MCI slabs on ebay. Graded MS G-6, MS V-8, MS V-10, MS VF-35 all slab by MCI. How in this world can you grade and slab coins, if you dont know what MS stands for!!! Unless they think it mean MY SUCKER !!
Rest in Peace

Hi Birdman and welcome to the forum. There's plenty of friendly people here with lots of expertise and everyone is willing to share with others.

Could you post the URLs of a couple examples of auctions with MCI slabs? I couldn't find any with an advanced search.

PCGS uses "MS" as a submission designation and in its population reports to differentiate between business and proof strikes. It applies it equally to both circulated and uncirculated coins although PCGS clearly states MS means Mint State as uncirculated. Very confusing and it's possible the MCI slabbers/sellers are inexperienced and may have misinterpreted its use by PCGS. On occasion, I've seen MS misapplied to coin auctions by novice coin sellers, e.g., MS-30, MS-06, but I don't remember seeing it used on a slab. I'd like to dig deeper into MCI. It's likely to be a one-person basement slabber who doesn't know any better.

Found the seller certifiedcoinsellers. See topic https://goccf.com/t/2392&whichpage=2 for details.

It appears MCI is certifiedcoinsellers' own slab. Just another boiler room slabber who tries to sell his coins with hyperinflated grades.

Wow, and I thought sellers on ebay only included MS as a search tag to appear in "MS" search results. But these self-owned slabbers are including it in the title of their own slabs now, too?

Just another hurdle for uninformed buyers, I guess.
