Now I thought I saw a second "2" to make it a 1922. But know it looks more like a 1927 or a 1923 with some damage on the "3". I still say a possible 1922.....what you say....?

1927 is the first thing that came to my mind.

I overlaid a good 1927 over yours and I would say it matched up pretty well. I know it's hard to see with the flattened pic but I could slide between 0% and 60% opacity and didn't see much change. I say 1927

I will go with the crowd on this one, 1927. The overlay did it for me, so I have to admit it may have biased my opinion.

with 27 also. Put it in a roll you are taking to the bank or add it to your copper hoard. That thing is toast.

For the sake of discussion, if we could determine that was a '22, would it be worth anything?

If it were a 22 and I were the one that found it, I would have no problem sticking that in my Dansco album's 1922-D Plain hole. We all know how I feel about the 'non-variety' that it really is.
