MathieuMa Pillar of the Community France 1591 Posts	Posted 07/02/2011 3:38 pm Beautifull coin, commonly used here to stockpile gold in hard times (peoples in the country side used to keep those, as well as older Napoleon and Louis gold coins) Those are traded for gold content first in france - not for their numismatic history, except for some versions that explains why they are close to the gold spot.
