-JJH- Valued Member Finland 79 Posts	Posted 11/13/2006 2:16 pm Hi, I recently acquired this 1945 20 Centime coin, I do know that it has been unused for almost 60 years (finnish merchant captain traded in northern africa in -45 and -46, after that, this coin has been sitting in a cigar box, until now). Krause lists this with value around $70 (XF) - $100 (UNC), but does someone know the 'true' market value for this coin? I haven't seen this coin in ebay or anywhere else, so I dunno what has been the most recent selling price. Here is the actual scan of the coin. Image Insert: -JJ- Report this Post to the Staff

Sap Moderator Australia 16806 Posts	Posted 11/15/2006 08:47 am Only just got around to looking this one up in Krause. Mintage over 5 million, but "a large quantity was remelted" - hence the rarity. Not bad for a piece of zinc. Wonder why they'd remelt zinc coins in 1945, anyway?
