Found one of these the other day. How rare is it? This one is pretty close to Unc. There are 11 unique differences in an FEV variety reverse than the normal reverse. The Ike group has good info on their site about it.

I bought $450 in Ikes from my bank last year and found 3. My guess is that they aren't super rare.

Peaceman; Estimated mintage: 250,000 to 500,000. per "The Ike Group"

Your coin is rarer in that you can clearly see the Shuttle Craft ( pic 3)
(Early Die State FEV!)

Most FEV's are later die stages and unable to see any part of the shuttle.

CONGRATS on a beautiful coin!

The big thing to look for on any 1971D FEV is for the 1971D DDO / DDR! with monster doubling on the Motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" on the Obverse and doubling of the 2 LL's in Dollar on the Reverse. Huge notching on all letters!

I was lucky enough to find one last year in a bag of Ike's and got it attributed by Dr. Wiles (CONECA) and slabbed by ANACS (John Roberts).
Approx mintage of the 1971D FEV DDO-001/DDR001 is 5000 to 10,000 total!

Nope, no doubling on this one. Thanks for the info.
