So what you are saying then is, looking for "No F Weak G" and "No F and G" while roll searching, isn't really worth it?
Depends on what you mean by "worth it" - so I guess if you mean monetary value, then look and see what people are buying. Whether or not you agree that a 1922 plain cent should be in an album or not (and I gotta agree with coop on that one), if you found one in circulation you wouldn't toss it back. The 1982 no FG half is listed in some price guides so you could theoretically sell one, but looking on
ebay you can see that there's not a lot of demand. I'll keep those just because of the theoretical value to someone else, even though I don't really want one for my Kennedy collection. I'd also keep any other coins with completely missing designer's initials, but those LDS coins with the initials worn down are too common to keep.
DDO / DDRs are a different story. They are legit varieties considered collectible by most people. If you're talking halves, then the 1974D
DDO is probably the most common and the most obvious when you find it. It has some value as seen by
ebay auctions, but it is pretty common. I've found 4 or 5 in the last 6 months or so - so many in my mind that I stopped looking at 1974D coins under a loop unless they look MS.
But what is "worth it" is subjective and really depends on your goals.
