Jayman931 Pillar of the Community United States 2651 Posts	Posted 07/10/2011 01:26 am So..I am pretty convinced I have a DDR...But I have had several that I thought were but ended up not being...What do you think? 1999D 1DR-005 (doubling on floor and planters Also...what causes the different colors on the front and is there away to remove it without damaging the coin. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 07/10/2011 10:53 am The side steps appear to be stronger Machine Doubling than on the example I'm showing: The doubling from what I can see is like the doubling on the second image above on the devices. Better images of the tops of the plant stands would show how they are different. That is where the real doubling is noticed. The floor doubling can be seen on many machine doubled examples. (Not that this is Machine Doubling on the ddr-005) But get the best images of the tops of the plant stands. (They extend to columns 3 & 10.) Uses 3.5 floppies or memory stick with macro feature. I've taken 20-30 thousand images with my two cameras through the years. Report this Post to the Staff
seal006 Pillar of the Community United States 1915 Posts	Posted 07/12/2011 11:14 pm Jayman, The planter box looks promising, but the light reflection on the steps is too much for me to see better details. Do you see any of the die markers that are mentioned on the coppercoins site? To defuse the light and get less reflection, try putting a piece of white paper in front of the light source, or as I often do, use a Walmart bag over it. Also try to get the lights source and camera directly over the coin. Report this Post to the Staff
