I'd like to know the approximate value of two notes. A 1917 $1 (labeled #1) and a 1899 $1 silver certificate (labeled #2). Both are in VF-F condition.

Thanks to all who help!

WOw this is pretty weird. I have the same bills basically in the same shape. You 1917 and mine have the same EXACT folds. THe bills look identical.

I cant help you on the price becuase I dont know and I have always wondered so I'm looking towards the prices also

Lets see Your first note is a type 3 sinatures (Tehee/Burke) In Good condition maybe Vg Only cant be fine or Vf . My book List Fine as the least grade listed and it Says 65 for fine so I would say 35.00 give or take and the second is a black eagle Silver certificate dated 1899 Signatures of tehee/ Burke as well as the other note I would say Vg maybe fine listed at $85.00 for a fine

keep in mind it is hard to evaluate a Picture and give it a grade vs the the note in hand. These are just and estimate of what I see I Maybe a little conservative in Grading But no way could they ever be VF. Sorry!! welcome to the forum. I hope you enjoy your stay
