My friend that owns a local pawn shop called me about this today and though I have never had an urge to buy platinum I had to get this. I paid $176 which seems like a fair price. The problem is I'm trying to build a Vegas bankroll and I need to quit buying and start to saving some money. This gold/silver/platinum bug has really bitten me.

What do you think about it? Have you ever seen one that is painted like this in platinum?

I would say the 176 is a good buy. I have not seen one with coloring and don't like it. But still a nice purch ASE

Those usually go for $250 on buy it nows on ebay, the colored version. So good buy, hard to pass up, and I don't like many colored coins, but that one is pretty cool....

I would love to get 10 of those before it is over, different years for an oz....

I think the price is nice and I always like platinum. I've just never been a big fan of the coloring. I want to see the platinum, not the paint. Just my humble opinion. Nice purchase tho....

I agree that painted coins are not my style but the price was excellent. I can see why you could not pass it up. It's a real beauty for sure. At that price, I would have bought it too.

As to bankrolling your Vegas trip... no problem... just start selling off some of your ASE hoard.

A great coin, colored or not, seems like a good deal. Gotta love the look of platinum!
