Yeah, that is a gold price on that gold and silver. I got a bunch of good deals this week, metal rich and cash poor is my new motto.

nice... a 10 ounce gold bar? I personally wouldn't even think of it unless it was under spot by a decent amount, unless you can flip for a profit or something similar

Seems like it might not be the best time to buy a 10 oz gold bar after this last run up. I would wait a week and buy it when spot gets back to around $1500 even. Unless like JImi said it is well under spot, it so much harder to sell a 10 oz bar then 10-1oz coins. If you buy it make sure you post a picture not a lot of us get to see a 10oz bar of gold.

10 oz gold bar eh? Not worth it in my opinion, too big and not as liquidable as something smaller

If you get a 10 oz bar you better post a picture! Congrats on the purchase.
mkman - wouldn't it be nice to have a 10 oz bar of gold to slap someone silly with?
I would!

Another good day, indeed! Very nice acquisition there. As to the 10-oz. gold bar... yeah, that is a large chunk of gold there. I agree with others who suggest buying smaller gold pieces. I could see buying a large chunk like this as a value store that you were going to hold for many years or as a candidate for a nice profit flip. That IS a lot of money and there is no way any of us can know whether or not gold is topping now or will continue to rise. Buying ten 1-oz. gold bars or coins over a few months time could be a useful strategy that avoids buying in at a gold top. Of course, it could also back-fire if gold continues to rise. It is a real dilemma and one that only you can resolve.
