I have just passed through 251,600 coins searched in my Quest to complete the Jefferson circulation strike series from bank rolls.

Still need two coins to seal the deal ... 1938-S and 1943-D.

You know I keep detailed records of my searches ... and the previous pre-1960 hole I filled was when I bagged the 1944-D @ 151,600 coins searched.

I have now gone 100,000 coins searched without filling a hole!

Hoping someone can send me some luck ... a little mojo ... something.

I remind myself that patience is needed ... but this long dry streak is stretching things a bit.

Wondering if other searchers have had a similar experience at the end of their quests?

David

They'll come! I found the '39-D the toughest.
You've got light at the end of the tunnel!
But in the meantime

My son and I have found three 1939D, two each of the 1939S and 1938D, and no 1938S or 1950D.

I was searching a box week but when I hit and stayed on 4 holes left I fell back to about a box every two weeks or so to avoid burn out. Mostly I've been searching halves and am now starting to burn out there because I've got two holes that I can't fill (70D and 87P, grrr).

As for nickels, I've found 2 each of 38S and 43D, so I'll trade you some 38S/43D mojo for some of your 38D/39D/44S/50D mojo.
