We have 4 cash registers where I work and I do a quick search of them a few times a day. I used to find the occasional silver dime and once every couple months, maybe a silver quarter. Well, I haven't found much of anything the past few months and I was just saying how I don't know why I even bother looking any more.

So, I was closing one of the registers tonight and though I heard the luscious clink of silver in the quarters. Well, I did indeed. I pulled out a nice 1964 silver Washington. I thought that was awesome. That is, until I looked through the rest and found SEVEN MORE! Yep, eight silver quarters just waiting to be united with me.

Just goes to show you that you never know when or where something will turn up. I guess that I will keep looking. Now, if I could only get that cashier to give me the civil war token she found in the pennies about a week ago (she can't find it now. Ugh.)

Wow...very nice. EIGHT 90% quarters in circulation all together? How rare is that! Sounds as if someone cashed in a collection. At least they went to someone who knew their real worth!

It just proves you have to stay vigilant while coin hunting. There were so many times I wanted to give up, but kept digging until I found something. That's what makes it all worthwhile.

Indeed, someone cashed in an old jar of granddads coins. Especially with there being 8 in the same register. No doubt they all came from the same customer.

Lucky you. Glad they ended up with someone that cares.

Same thing I was just thinking. So many people have jars, cans, boxes, etc laying around with coins in them for years.
