The following is a press release from APMEX

Complete your 2011 American the Beautiful Set with the last coin for this year!

The U.S. Mint just released the Chickasaw National Recreation Area ATB coin. This is the fifth and final coin in the 2011 ATB series.

This large-format, five-ounce .999 fine silver coin honors the beautiful southern plains Chickasaw National Recreation Area in Oklahoma and features the Lincoln Bridge which was constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1909. This bridge was dedicated on February 12, 1909 in honor of President Abraham Lincoln's 100th birthday. When the bridge was constructed, Albert R. Green said, "It is not a thing apart -- it is as if it had grown there and been made when the rugged banks of the stream and the trees were made."

The U.S. Mint pre-establishes mintage numbers under strict federal regulations governing the ATB program. As one of the most talked about U.S. Mint bullion products ever released, the limited number of America the Beautiful coins being struck means the window to keep your collection up-to-date is small. Don't miss this opportunity to add the Chickasaw ATB coin to your collection while they're still available.

Order individual coins or choose our exclusive APMEX Mint Directâ„¢ tubes which guarantee no human hands have touched your coins since they were packaged at the U.S. Mint. These coins are scheduled to ship on or before Friday, July 29.

Interesting that the mint would release more than 3 million ounces of silver within a three month span. I foresee these 2011 releases being a drag on the market due to their unusual size. It is a fraction of the annual ASE mintages, but that coin is instantly recognizable, and has had 25-year sales track record. These pucks may be a difficult sale to the institutional investor due to the changing reverses, unlike the stable 1 oz. ASE. IMO, the mint should have correlated 2011s with the release of the corresponding quarter, or every 10 weeks or so. The 5 oz. ATB bullion coins will find their niche market, but until they do 127,500 coins per design is too generous a mintage. The two previous releases, Olympic and Vicksburg, are still available to be ordered from the mint by an AP.
