There seems to be a lot of sellers on ebay selling mixed lots of old European coins from the Bundesbank. Does anyone know if these 10 kilo bags can still be bought direct from the Bundesbank? If so, how?

I pretty much doubt so. They should have sold most of their coins as scrap metal values which a fair amount supposely went to China for meltdown for their own coinages. The dealers would have also bought a large amount for metal scrap value, and hoping that they would sell at a higher price.

In Germany it is similar; for two years the higher value coins containing nickel were "decoined" or waffled first (in order to turn them into scrap metal), and then auctioned off. And no, the Bundesbank does not sell any DM cash.
