I don't know what kind of collector I am, but I started out collecting paper money, silver certificates, old bills, unique serial numbers... etc...

Then got into modern coins and proofs. Later down the road got into silver coins-- then high grade coins. Then silver bars somewhere in there. Now I think I am into gold bullion!

Ahhhh! So many things to buy out there! Here is what I picked up before gold hit 1600!

(I think in this post i'll update the community with my recent itches... er purchases.)

Nice purchase. Me personally, I'm a .999 bullion buyer (gold & silver) - with a hint of 90%.

This hobby is kind of crazy. I fall in love with something different every few months.

Hey Silverhawk I've been lurking your posts for sometime now. Your collection is getting quite large! :)

You'll have one of those 1oz in yours pretty soon I bet.

This is one of the many reasons why coin and bullion collecting is just so darned cool. There are so many ways we can play it. Everyone can set up their collection so that it suits them perfectly.

I don't have any gold yet but my silver collection is coming along quite nicely... 96 oz. so far! I collect ASEs and Morgans mostly but also have some nice 90% silver coins. These include a tube of Roosevelt dimes, some Mercury dimes, a couple of tubes of Walking Liberty halves, and a tube of very nice Kennedy proof halves. Also have some miscellaneous silver stuff of various kinds. Would like to add more 90% coins as well as some bars.

I am going to say "new". New collectors tend to collect whatever catches their eye. Then after awhile they start to focus on a few areas and then zero in on one area. Please post photos of some of your favorites.
