why are some of the 2011 silver dollars price different then others, see some from $35.00 to $150.00 dollars is it cause where they were made, are something on them,what are
the best ones to buy, wanted to no before I buy some thanks

Some are just worth melt value while others that are proof, they can go for much more. The ASE are just more of a collectors piece.

I think what you are seeing is different grades as well. An ms70 is going to bring more than a 68. As far as getting the best value, it depends on what you are looking for. Bullion pieces? High grade or proof examples ? That is all up to you.

Please please please use some caps and periods. Run ons make my eyes go cross. Anyway, there are regular strikes and proof strikes. Then you have differences in grade. Then you have differences in mintages by year with 96 being the lowest minted. A regular 06 is going to go for less than an 06 reverse proof. There are all kinds of different things that cause the prices to vary.

I think the OP was referring to 2011 ASE's and the difference in prices for that year.
