not sure if that would list coins from other countries as he asked about. I haven't heard of a book for US and darkside coins

I do not use a book. Books are outdated before they even hit the shelves. I use two websites for values. For US coins I use the Numismedia website. It is updated constantly and very concise. For foreign coins I use ebay. I go to the "completed" auctions section. I use this for US as well. ebay will offer you absolutely the most up to date prices on anything you could ever imagine. Both of these methods have served me well.
