I'm sorry, but I can't grade from that scan. She seems to suggest mint state, but an image that small, with that much glare/reflection (not sure what to call it) could be hiding a lot.

If (when?) you have her in hand, try uploading a photo.

Hi Sheepy

Sorry but Texas is right , this coin cannot be graded from the pics ,, Try taking the pic without the flash use indirect low angle lighting instead or take the coin out side and use natural light try and stay in a covered but well lit area so that you dont get direct sun light on the coin.

Hi, Sheepy

I never decline a special invitation.

Actually, it's 144 circulated Walkers. I haven't purchased a single BU WLH (for myself, that is; I did help a friend pick one out). This is for a couple of reasons:

(1) I'm in accumulation mode and I'd rather have 150 than 5 at this point for my enjoyment of the hobby. At some point, I assume I'll gravitate to quality.

(2) The difference between an MS63 and an AU58 is a single wet thumb-smudge. I don't have confidence in myself to consistently ID that trace of wear. So I think I'd be foolish to start throwing my money around, playing darts as it were on the old AU/BU dartboard.

(3) I'm afraid that once I start upgrading my collection, I won't be able to stop!

Ok, with that disclaimer out of the way, do you really want my opinion on the grade of your Walker? The latest pics look good, but I'd like to have more pixels. The pictures on the other thread were nice size.

With all that said, I still don't see anything that says "wear" to me. I also don't see any bag marks in the fields. I'm a little concerned about the discoloration on the obverse field just above the "IN". Is that real? Is that a nick on the obverse rim near 10:00? Also, there might be a ding on the feathers near 3:00.

Did you say on another thread that you bought it as a 62? To me, that's the bottom of the range. I think it could go 64 if I'm wrong about the imperfections. Most probably a 63. There--I stuck my neck out.

BTW, Bryan has an excellent eye for BU coins .

Thanks Guys! I don't know how to get more pix... I was trying to upload to big a file... getting very disgruntled... but am better now! It is a small nick at 10... I hadn't noticed that... little ding on wing... scared I did that... don't remember it when I bought it... There appears to be no wear, imo... the discoloration is not there... it's hard for me to explain... when you move the coin the light swirls there... I don't know if there is a technical name for it... but it is smooth, no scratch, no discoloration in the metal...
The holder said Uncirculated ms62. I paid $52 for her... she is really pretty... and totally got me hooked on Walkers!

That's original mint luster, my friend!

With the dings, I'd settle on MS-63.

On price... I have an aging graysheet (11 Aug) that bids $32 for 63, while the RedBook (also aging) says $45. To get current pricing, you'd have to check heritage, teletrade, etc. (or get the latest graysheet!).

I hate questions about price, because when you get an answer, you're gonna feel like you "won" or "lost". It's a hobby, not a game, after all.

Unless prices have moved up in the last 10 weeks, I'd say you paid 64 money. For a 63, I'd try to buy between $35 and $45.
