As a relatively new collector, I am having some doubts over whether some 1965 Canadian pennies I recently came across that I was certain were the "pointed 5" variety are really so. Can anyone give some tips or show some detailed pictures to assist in seeing the difference between the blunt 5 and the pointed 5? Thank you.....

Thank you.
Sadly, the 65 pointed 5 I thought I had found is not pointed at all. Time to get more rolls.....

Hi there. When you see the pointed five, it will capture your eye immediately. If it has the large beads included, it will be well worth the hunt.

after seeing this link, I went through a recent binder purchase that had a few 1965's in what look to be nice condition...

I took a pic of each of the 4 coins dates...

Pretty well looks like they may all fall under the "pointed 5" variety? Or?

All are the Blunt 5 aardspeed.

on pointed 5 variety, tip of 5 will come real close to touch limb and be real sharp, like end tip of knife
