Here are a few that I purchased out of a batch of twenty War Nickles that I found at a small local coin shop. Two of the twenty had some of this weird toning on them. I asked the owner about it and he said they all came with a collection he purchased. And he just put all of the War nickles in a box for $2.00 a piece This is from the same batch of twenty. I think it is a re-punched Mint Mark. Not sure though.

I've posted this one before, but it happens to be one of my favs if not my favorite Jefferson nickel because not only is it a key date, but I found it in circulation.

Wow Stewart - that 1942 type 1 is amazing (so are the others - but this one stood out to me).

Here's my favorite. I discovered this one in a silver war-nickle set that belonged to my father.

Here is my favorite; can't find the pic of the entire coin (1942 S), but this one is way cool! The die crack runs through the mint mark, splits at the dome and runs to the bottom of the coin.

I've posted this before - found it in a roll of new 1966 nickels stashed away some years ago.
