I actually almost bought a nice G4 example last week; it went for a mere $10 more than my max bid ( ebay). But even that one was slabbed.

How about my PCGS FR02. Even this one I purchased slabbed

That's still leagues ahead of that "craters of the moon" coin you posted.
Rest in Peace

It's 1877 indian bonanza week! Lovin it, and can't wait to get my first one ever in the mail! Anyways, the one in the OP looks really nice to me and does appear to have some remaining luster; but I echo other's sentiments towards original color though it doesn't look obviously cleaned to me. If sent to anacs I would guess it would grade MS60 details AT.

Dave, yours has remarkable surfaces for the wear! Nice!

Thanks John! That's why I bought it

John I saw the thread with the one that's on it's way to you. I graded it a F12. Looked like all letters albeit weak, were there. You should be proud of that one

lol, it is frustrating when you lose an auction you really want by one bid. I've had that happen to me more times than I can count.

I lost the bid on a coin I wanted really bad by like fifty cents. I just looked at the computer jaw down and ticked. Happens to me a lot too.
