I traded in a Canada 1 0z gold Maple Leaf to buy this coin; I thought it was an exceptionally nice raw double eagle. Most raw Liberty $20 coins are very baggy and/or have some kind of cleaning issue. What are your thoughts on grade?

Still kind of a little skritchy, but very little evidence of circulation is noted. I suspect a TPG would go no worse than AU58, and reality I don't think it's seen circulation. In a trade for a Maple Leaf, somewhat in your favor.
Rest in Peace

My guess would also be AU-58. It has fewer bag marks than my MS-61, but it does not appear to have much luster on the devices, which indicates to me that it is lightly circulated. Very good trade. :-)

There is no circulation wear on this coin.

For this reason, it has to be graded MS 'something'.

I think you made a good trade.

If graded this would get labeled as "cleaned" correct? Not sure if they do something different on gold.

I'm seeing some hairlines too, but I chalked it up to circulation hairlines and am not really seeing the cleaning.
