I have this Colombian 1928 50 centavos lazareto coin which means lazar talking about a leper house where people with leprosy were quarantined (usually on an island).
Reference:Special coinage for use in the three government leper colonies of Agua de Dios, Cano de Lord, and Contratacion. The hospitals were closed in the late 1950s and patients were allowed to exchange these special coins for regular currency at any bank. Wear is usual in these coins as they were not population currency and are usually weakly struck. Only 100,000 struck in 1928.
