I absolutely hate ebay policy on contacting bidder. Many members of this forum could warn buyers on buying fakes or about shady sellers activity. What to do to make ebay change this policy?

If at least they would display names for users with a good rating (over 100) - those used to bid on certain items (coins in our case) end to know each other and like to help in such case :(

Problem is-every time auction is canceled, ebay is loosing money.Considering amount of dodgy auctions-they would loose lots of final values fees.Nothing to do with privacy policy IMO,just MONEY.

The guy says it is a 5RM, which it clearly isn't, but is this "old", which would to me seem to be the sticking point. Is this a Nazi era piece of memorabilia, or it is much later and really just a con trick? (i'd go with the latter myself, but if anyone actually knows!)

Fake coin all the way.
Hitler never appeared on coins.
There is an old gentleman who I sells coins at our local antique mall who used to collect Nazi era coins, and he has confirmed this never happened.

This is definitely a fantasy piece, just like the Italian Mussolini coins. It is a very poor portrait.

That is the worst fantasy hitler portrait coin I've ever seen. You'd think it was designed by anti-Nazis, rather than neo-Nazis. This old thread has a couple of much more credible-looking - though still just as "fake" - Hitler coins.

It looks like Hitler's hat was pulled over his eyes. Whoever made that didn't want to fuss over a believable likeness. Just as well. Quote:I absolutely hate ebay policy on contacting bidder. Many members of this forum could warn buyers on buying fakes Before IDs were hidden, I used to regularly warn bidders on fake goods--it's far more rampant than just coins. This should be reported, because it was never legal currency, and no doubt has no silver content.

This listing ( 290592753511) has been removed, or this item is not available. How cool is that? Quote: Before IDs were hidden, I used to regularly warn bidders on fake goods--it's far more rampant than just coins I used to do exactly same thing but now I simply cant.

ebay policy is disgracefull. There was an uproar when they did this and they just ignored it. As has been pointed out it's not just coins.... But coins are SUCH a minefield for unsuspecting collectors! Whole areas of collecting have been irrepairably damaged by the fakers and eBAys policy is 'if you realise you've been ripped off, you'll probobly be able to get your money back'. So every day millions of fake items are sold on ebay and the buyers never know any better because nobody can warn them. And dishonest sellers are free to exploit the system while ebay rakes in the cash.
