Found this in a box of dimes today. Most of the damaged ones are obviously post mint, but this one I am unsure about. Would love to hear what you all think!

Looks like it has been in a parking lot for a couple of weeks. Definitely a form of PMD due to the deformation of the coin's details.

I had an ebay auction end on a double struck cent at around $75 only for my wife to find one of our dogs carrying the coin around the next morning in the 2X2 holder. I got the coin away from the dog and checked it against the "before" photos and didn't find any damage. I contacted the buyer and sent him the new photos with a full return option if he saw any damage. He got the coin and said it was fine. I learned not to leave the padded envelope at "dog level" from that point on.

I ordered a graded 2000 ASE in MS-70 because it was the year my youngest daughter was born around 2003 or 2004 and came home one day to find my Brother inlaw's dog we were watching while he was on vacation chewing on it. He destroyed the slab but thankfully he didn't get to the coin. I learned to keep the coins up where they belong from then on also
