i have 5 coffe cans full with wheat cents and wonder what I do I do with it ? I must make rolls by decade or separate by mintage numbers ? Make rolls by year ? Or just sell it together ?
Too many and too much space maybe I could make couple bucks and buy me a coin or doesn't worth the trouble , what you guys think ? Any opinions are welcome !

Try a CCF auction lot for 500 and see what you get.

Ricardocody- I know this isn't the for sale forum, but I would be interested in whatever you end up doing!
Send me a PM and keep me posted!

Selling them by sets or by mass amounts is what I would do. Also, if you have key dates that are worth more than the average Wheat penny, I would sell those individually.

Selling it as a set adds a little more premium, and condition plays the big part of course.
Sell keys and semi-keys like SiverCoinBol says is the way to go...
Can you post pics with some of your better ones, I amn sure members here would be interested.

Unless you're willing to separate the roll them by year/mint, I'd sell them as a bulk lot for 5 cents each.

$ .5 sounds reasonable ! What about year mixed mm ? I was thinking make rolls of teens and 20s and 30s and try .5 per 40s and 50s . How much could it be sold for a roll of mixed dates mm teen and 20s ?

Rolls of the earlier teens and 20's sell for a premium. However, you'll be "stuck" with the rest if you're selling a bulk lot of just 40's and 50's. I don't think you'll see much interest. Most people buying bulk lots want/like to find the early date coins in there for themselves....and it helps a lot with the sale IMO. The 5 cent each price makes it fair and interesting because you know you'll find a few coins worth more than that. Why else would you buy them in bulk? LOL You gotta make it fun for the buyer!

I saw someone on ebay selling a bulk lot of $25.00 face 50's Wheat Cents going for $78 dollars, so just a little bit over melt might be good if you are willing to part for that price.

The coin dealer I patronize sells wheats for .04 each. He pulls the keys from his bulk lots and moves them out. $10 face minimum.

On 40's and 50's your going to have to be around the 3.5-3.7 range for them to move

I'm really surprized no mention of putting them all up on ebay with that famous UNSEARCHED statement. If your in a hurry to get rid of all of them, might be the way to go. However, you do have enough for the same deal on this forum. Of course if you do put them up for sale here, don't forget to say, UNSEARCHED. Just to keep us all laughing.
