Indeed a very nice addition. Were you able to see the trippling, or did you just buy the obverse variety?
I think items being sold should have a minimum picture size requirment.

Oh my God...I think I'm going to cry...

That is hauntingly beautiful...

You are truly a master...

Habibani's picture was horrible and you still picked that out...

What an impressive coin! From now on, I'm checking all 1882-H for doubled/tripled dies.

This is a new discovery. Rob Turner and Bill Hall have both said it is the first they have seen, so I figure it to be quite uncommon. I did not know what I was buying but I know ICCS will call a hub doubled coin with Obv2 over Obv1 an Obv1 repeatedly so that was what I was hoping for. I never buy from that seller, but this one looked odd. Lucky, lucky me. Even better than a hub doubled.

That is amazing.

And it makes you wonder about some of those ebay dealers.

Then again, ignorance is how we all pick up the occasional jewel.

Well...to me, that would qualify as one of the best ever finds. I'd take that, over finding a 1906 small crown quarter, any day.

WOW...

Here's a more worn example.

The more worn example was in the 20 or so 1882's I already had. Thanks Dan, any Vicky's interest me. I have been buying 1882's looking for the double hubs, this was just a offshoot bonus.

I'm assuming you had assumed it was a type of 1882 doubled (with doubled regina only), before getting the high grade example :)
