If a coin is cleaned with verdi-care, can a grading company detect this procedure?

Wouldn't that conserve it rather than clean it ?

Most likely, yes. Keep in mind that the grader's at a grading company have seen tens of thousands of coins and have years of experience, so they will most likely see/know things that the lesser collector (like me!) could miss.
