About the late Roman ancients with the big prominent chi-rho (I think its also called a christogram) on the reverse... is that particular design expensive? Because I have been looking for one online and the only one I found was 80-something bucks. If you need a pic of what the coin I'm talking about I can post an example. Thanks

Yes they can be pricey. Magnentius and Decentius coins used the large Christo-gram. I haven't been able to find any good examples to add to my collection yet.

thats a bummer.... I would think they would be cheap in average worn condition just like other Roman bronzes of the same time period but apparently not.

I sold the following Constantius II christogram 6 months ago for about £20GBP so if I were you I would keep looking before spending $80 on one. I personally don't think they merit such a premium.

They are popular mainly due to the Christian connections even though the more you look into it the less convinced you become that the symbol is correct / seen as a vision / used in battle / has a definite Christian connection!

Its still a nice looking reverse though whatever the reason.
