I'm not going to get them all on tonight but here is the 1921 no mint mark. So give me a clue what is the grade and the value. It is funny I just kind of dumped them in the can with the other 1/2's tonight. I was more interested in the Barber dimes.

Let's put it this way: I'd probably be willing to pay something approaching $1500 for any random grouping of 20-1921 Walkers, from any mint. If you got them for less than $1000, you stole them. Every single one should be in a reputable TPG slab. Would you call that "good enough to save?"

Regarding the 1921 you posted: I see a reverse rim ding. If that puts it in a Genuine slab, it's only worth between $100 and $125. If it gets a graded slab, call it $150+ - I'm guessing VG8.

Yes it does have a little ding. Ok now I have homework to do. I have a lot of cool stuff and some UN-Mercury's to go through. I have a ton of the first years up so I guess I will have to date check those too.
That is why I just like the bullion stuff. It is far less complicated. I will have to go back and give him a little more money once I figure this all out. One thing I don't do is rip anyone off. I just hope is doesn't get too expensive.
So is it worth getting key dates slabbed? If I post them in the forum for grading will you all help me decide if it is worth doing anything. Last of all I'm really not a coin collector when I get 250 post I would be willing to sell them here.

well if anything else is like what you have shown tonight you may be able to sell 6-10 coins and make back every penny you have in the whole deal and everything else will be pure profit. That is allot better than just getting back melt for each of them which you may make a little over what you paid (I say this not knowing the price you paid)

Ok I went and did some home work and yes there is some premium on the three years of key dates that I have. I also have a few 1938 D's and 1917 D Obv and of course the 1916, 1916 D & 1916 S which I didn't know where good to have too.
I made three stops today at various dealers that I trusted to tell me what I had.
I will probably list these on this site, but it will take me some time to reach my 250 posts so be patient. I'm just not in a hurry to bump up my totals to get these listed.
When I get some time I will try to get them all on in better photographs.

stick around, we may turn you into a coin collector yet and you already got a real good start on a walking liberty album. The coins you already have are usually the holes that need filled on most peoples albums, thats because they are the most expensive ones of the set

All I can say is WOW. You really did great. As already said by everyone, the 21 is one of the KEY dates in the series. Only 246,000 minted and you have that many.

You've got early date Mercs too? Does the guy you got these from have any more coins? Go save them from the melters! The keys for Mercury dimes in order of value are: 1916-D 1921-D 1921 1926-S Those are worth considerably more than melt in pretty any condition if genuine. You probably do not have a 1916-D, or if you do, it's probably not real. Several other pre-1934 dates are worth more than melt if they're in a bit better condition. Also, there are rare over-dates for 1942/1 and 1942/1-D. Other than that, later date ones are only worth something as you approach uncirculated condition.
