I just read that Silver is pegged to economic recovery and industrial demand increasing in an improved economy with demand for Silver renewed. If that's a fact then Silver is actually doing an amazing job of holding it's own standalone in it's second duty, as a precious metal and store of wealth. So I guess they mean that Silver isn't supposed to soar until the economy recovers. By the time the economy recovers all manufacturing will be relocated to Brazil, India, Viet Nam, and any other country besides the US. At that time, all the silver being held in the United States will be wanted by all of the new manufacturing centers, and we'll have all of the Silver here. That means that someday our country may actually be needed for something besides shipping our brave young people to all corners of the world to keep the peace that those countries should be keeping on their own like we do.

Well...silver was a monetary metal LONG before it was an industrial metal.

The reason silver is holding its own is because it is, first and foremost, a monetary metal. The reason it is so low in price is due to market manipulation by the powers that be.

We'll see how long they can keep it down.

If so, shouldn't the price of silver be tanking right now? Yet, the ratio between gold and silver is getting bigger again.

Interesting point about Brazil. Canada is setting up to do big business with them. It probably has something to do with what's happening in Africa, I'm betting.

@ Libertad,

Explain please? Are you referring to the Famine? I thought Canada and Brazil were competitors in the natural resource business.

thanks.
