Hi everybody!
Hello Swamperbob!

Just got my second Portrait from Mexico City.
The weight is 26.69 gr.
Edge looks ok to me.
I have a little concern about "8 R*T*H" letters. "R" seems a little far from "8" and too close to "T". Is it normal for this type of assayer?
Also one of the chopmarks looks too new (hope it's not translated as "Made in China")
What is your opinion on this coin?
Thank you in advance.

Most probably it is a "Boston" type bullion issue of the 1870-1920 era. The edge is typical of those. But the coin exhibits only the edge variation and the dies show none of the other typical traces.

The coin should be the correct SG if made EARLY in the series but could be slightly low if made after 1900.

These are normally traded as REAL. Most dealers and collectors do not distinguish between originals and forgeries of this type UNLESS there is a serious error like a non-existent date or assayer.
