This is the 2nd of two coins that I purchased from ebay. I paid $17. Overpaid? Underpaid? Opinions Please. =)

It looks to be in the XF range. Melt is a little over $14.

Nice Coin. I agree with XF range. Better grade and worth a bit over melt in my opinion. Of course if you ever want to sell in the next few years you will only get silver value for it. You did ok though.

As noted it's OK for that price. However, did you have to pay shipping and handling? If so that raises the purchasing price to over what you could have paid at a coin show. For about $17 that is normal so you did OK.

The S&H was $.99, So the total was $17.99. So, I guess I over paid a little bit. I noticed that the coins sell for more money on ebay than at my local coin dealer.

I usually hold out for melt on common Walkers and Franklin's.
Decent grade so you certainly didn't get taken to the cleaners.

AND if you frequent that same coin store you may find you could even get better and cheaper coins. As they get to know you if a normal dealer, they tend to want to keep you as a customer so you could get better and better deals.
And too remember at that store you get to see the actual coin you want and not a possible faked out photo.

Well until I become more experienced, I will continue to go to the local coin dealer.

A coin in the hand is worth two in the bush. ( ebay being the bush)
