Hi all
I just recently started roll searching and building my own collection which made me go back to some stuff I had as a kid. some was stuff I collected, some was stuff given to me by my grandfather, via my mother. any help as to where, what denomination, value, or anything would be great. Much is in pretty rough shape since I kept it in a box, but now I am curious. I have a small group of foreigns, so hopefully you all do not mind helping me out over the next few days.
I only posted what I believe to be the front's except for the Japanese ( I believe they are) so I posted both sides.
Most of what I have was supposedly collected by my grandfather during WW2, but then again, that is what was told to me by my mother? I have a few more which I will post soon hopefully.

1. Laos 10 Cents and yes it is meant to have the hole.
2 and 3. German Pfennigs (denomination on the back.
4. I'm having to guess at 1 Anna India.

The Japanese Govt. 1 Centavo note was issued for use in the Philippines during WWII.
The last note is Japan 5 Yen from 1946.

It looks like your grandfather may well have spent time in the Far East during the war.

wow, that was fast, thanks. I have a few more to post if anyone is interested or don't mind. Do any of these carry any value? Of coarse they are of sentimental value to me but curious as to if I should spend money to store or just use 2x2's and such. I still have a few from the 40's, 50's, 60's and early 70's from places like yugoslavia, india, netherlands, etc (I beleive)and some seem to be in pretty good shape. He passed in the early 70's, all are before 74. they have been stored in a container since I was a kidbut I want to get them stored and organized better and of coarse get anything of any value stored better.

The value may well depend on a coin being a certain year so it would help to have both sides. I'll look up the value of the notes a bit later (first some chores to do )but I wouldn't hold your breath!

#4 has Latin on it, while Indian coins have the obverse legend in English; the only option I can think of with scallop shape and Latin legend is Cyprus, a half or one piastre. Either way, it will say so on the other side.

I like those Canadian bills. Never see them around here. Lots of their coins but no one has their bills that I know of.
