NOW THAT'S EYE CANDY!!

This might be the prettiest CBH I've ever seen - definitely in the top 3. I could see this being a Gem MS65. Except for a few hairlines in the fields, I do not see any significant contact or bag marks. Great strike, too!

This looks like an O-102 which has a rarity rating of 2. The diagnostics are as follows:

OBV 1 - Date 8-1/2mm wide with large, thick 8's and all digits close together. There are die defect lines below the bust and left of the date. (I did not see these lines in the picture below but you may want to look for these under magnification in different lights.)

REV B - 50 C. is 1-1/2mm wide. The last A in AMERICA and the arrow head nearly touch. The base of the first A in AMERICA is higher than the adjacent base of the M. The left sides of the second T in STATES and the I in PLURIBUS are in line.
Rest in Peace

I can't say I'm comfortable with the originality of the surfaces. The haze near the devices compared to the relatively "clean" open fields is one thing - seen that before with Busties. However, the haze/clean contrast also exists on the devices themselves, which is an immediate red flag to me.

This is in a Details slab. More's the pity; even if so, I'd go big for it, crack it and let time heal the wounds.

I really like this coin and the toning is incredible...

but,

I'm with SuperDave, the surfaces do not look original to me. The roughness of the obverse surfaces and lack of luster hints (to me, anyway) of a cleaned and retoned coin.

I'm also going with MS Details, cleaned.

I agree with Dave and Moe, lots of hairlines visable. Details are beautiful though and coin is an easy AU-58.

She's a beauty, I would agree with the AU-58. More to the point, I wish I owned it!

First off, beautiful coin regardless......

However, let me play devils advocate against the details assessment...

IMO this looks to be struck from a late stage die, therefore is it possible that the 'hairlines' are from die polishing?

This series is by no means my strong point, and thats why I'm asking so that I can learn and use that knowledge in the future.

But again an absolute beautiful coin, thank you for sharing so that we can all learn from it.

oh and btw I agree with the grade.

Yeah, I agree with Dave about cracking it out. I can see cleaned possibly, but polished? Perhaps I'll resubmit to ANACS, that way at least I'll have an actual grade (maybe MS?).

Susanlynn9 - Good call on the attribution.

Exceptional eye appeal, I would take this coin above a higher grade without the eye appeal. Thank you for showing us your great bust half.

Don't know how I could have missed the cleaning! I must have been blinded by its beauty.

Buddy, you're very welcome. CCF is all about learning and I'm glad to help.
