First of all, welcome to our CCF family! I hope you will enjoy it here.

Next, you should never clean your coins. The only exception to this is if harmful corrosion is present (which is a problem with copper, not silver) and the corrosive process needs to be stopped. Your Peace dollar is silver and the discoloration is referred to as "toning" and can actually increase the value of the coin as there are collectors who prefer toned coins.

As far as the condition of this coin goes, I do not see any luster, though the details are sharp. I believe this coin to have Extremely Fine EF40 details. Is this image a scan or a digital photograph? If it is a scan, then the luster will not show.

You said the coin is "shiny." Luster is a shine that will rotate around the coin when the coin is tilted. This is also referred to as "cartwheel." The rotation effect is there due to the metal flow from the minting process. If your coin is shiny all over and doesn't rotate when tilted under light, then I would have to say that your coin has been cleaned and has since toned. The cleaning would make your coin worth only its silver value (which is around $30 right now.)

I am sure that others will come along and give you their opinions as well now that this topic is in the correct forum.

Well maybe not, since one of the true authorities here was first to answer the post. Not to mention every thing was covered perfectly.
I will add this coin is the most common of the series (highest mintage) and usually sells close to melt unless
in a very nice state of preservation.

approximately 3/4 oz of silver... nicely worn and toned...
save for your collection or sell for $30 US
if you attempt to clean, it will loose much of its character!
