My step daughter works in a bank so I asked if she could start snagging some silver dollars
for me in hopes of coming up with a Morgan. From what I've read on the internet and a couple of times on CCF, I know they still do show up on occasion. She came up with 62 Ike's that customers had brought in.

I know next to nothing about the Eisenhowers except there are different varieties/types. Is
there anything in particular I can look for in these coins or are they all destined for
Coinstar? A number of them still have a fair amount of luster.

You did real good with that so far. You should get a copy of the Red Book by Whitman Publishing. Not a fantastic amount of info but more than I know. One nice thing is some might be Silver Clad. Almost any coin dealer sells even the worst ones for $1.25 and up so if nothing else, your way ahead. Tell her to watch for all sorts of odd coins too.

Nice finds!

The Ike Group is a good resource.

I also recommend you read through this thread right here on CCF...

A lot of discussion about the Eisenhower dollar with some great photos. You are also welcome to post anything you think you have found for confirmation!
