Weighs 3.2 grams. It has mostly copper color on the front and back with spots of silver on both sides. It has light toning on both sides. I tried to scan it but I can not get the scan to look like the penny. Sorry. Error, or ware? The penny is in great shape for the age on it. Also, a magnet will not attract it.

May of been plated with zinc. or probably mercury
as the mercury would wear off of it faster. Just someone
playing around with a coin some time a while back.

I think the people who posted above are correct. I checked what the weight of a 1944 penny should be and it is 3.11 grams. Someone has re-plated this coin. This coin weighs 3.2 grams.
