Poll Question
Hello, Thanks for your feed back. I'm trying to settle on if I should sell my Proof 1999 Close AM (Still in PF Set) to fund my purchase of a 06 Perfect 70 Reverse Proof SAE. I figure the most it will cost is $450. I just realized I have the Burnished & Proof both graded 70. So it would make a perfect 06 Trifecta Set. NGC / PCGS would only use special holders. I'm just not sure if I want to let this PF 99 C-AM. It has its own special place in my collection. I love Lincoln Cents as well. So what do you think?

Yeah you should sell it. ALthough I find when I ask people about it they give me an answer and my decision ends up being the opposite of what they said.

I would keep it if it were me. Start saving for the SAE, then you will have both.

Thanks everyone, I got here due to hearing about the new 25th anniversary set. I feel this will cause the 06 sets to go up. And if it does its going to be out of my reach for a while. But I guess Good things come to those who wait...... I've never sold any of my coins. Except for a few National Park Sets. But never anything from my collection. I admire those who can separate themselves and cash in to buy something else. Or cash in for that matter. I do want to put together a Close & Wide AM set. So It in its self is its own treasure. Cents are pretty safe when it comes to collector interest. I don't think the value of this cent will go down. I'm going to have to think about it some more. Thanks for all the Sell its as well, Its giving me the edge to overcome my normal dillema. Have to see where this poll ends up.

the 99 Close AM proof is relatively unpopular while the reverse proof silver eagle is overpriced, in my opinion. financially, it is probably a better idea to keep the cent. however, either way you go, the gain/loss from making this decision should be minimal, so do what you like :)

No, that was Adam_E, I bought my 70's graded by NGC two years ago, but also kept the original set I got from the mint in the OGP. Wish I had gotten a few sets, by the time I realized how nice they were, all 250K sets had been sold out by then.

Adam E thats who it was thanks. After seeing his, I haven't been able to get it out of my mine. I was hooked before I saw his coin, but now I'm really hooked. I think I'll concentrate on this latest set, coming out in Oct. And just keep saving for the 06, if the price rises a little so be it.
