I just got my first ASE in the mail today. It came in a plastic bag that says ASE Uncirculated. The bags hides the coin that I wanted to display. Should I remove it from the bag and put it in my plastic air tight dollar holder? Also, I paid $33 plus $4.95 S&H. Good deal or not? Thank you

WOW! ASEs for under melt! that's an amazing deal! you could easily get $45 for that coin.
and if you want to remove the coin form the holder, its fine, it doesn't add any value to it.

Thanks Adam_E. I ordered from a ad in the paper from Littleton Coin Company. They also gave me 4 free uncirculated pennies from 2009 with the 4 different designs. All for $37.95 (after S&H) It is a marketing ploy though. They enroll you in a program that they send coins every month. You pay for the ones you want and return the ones you don't. But I don't mind looking at coins for free, then shipping them back at no expense... =)

The bag adds nothing. If you want to put it in something, put it in an airtite. It isn't a fancy year or anything, just an ounce of silver. It's value will rise and fall with the price of silver and even in a tarnished condition it will still be worth spot. In BU condition it would retail for about $3 over spot.

Nice grab! Myself, I'd remove it from the bag and carefully into a air-tite just so I could see it better.

Agree with others, the bag adds no value to the coin and may cause it to tarnish. Use a recommended H38 direct fit holder or "I" style with volara ring. To see the two different styles go to https://www.airtiteholders.com, most large coin supply houses and dealers will carry this standard size. IMO, all untarnished BU silver coins should be stored in Air-Tites. Can't recommend them enough.

Thing looks Cherry to me, Excellent buy. With the bonus of looking through coins every month. If you ever choose to buy one of those coins, I'm almost positive they will make up the difference. Watch them like a hawk. I also keep my bullion ASE's in airtights as well. I love that I can play with them and not hurt them in anyway.

Nice coin and if Silver continues to climb, might end up being worth millions. I suggest you stop with Littleton sending you stuff in the mail. If it gets lost, your responsible. If they claim they sent you an expensive one and you returned a lousy one, your responsible. If you go on vacation and more arrives, your responsible. If one should get taken from your mail box, your responsible. Littleton does that all the time with the never ending sending you stuff you may never want. Be carefull.

littleton always has these things trying to get people on their subscribers list, but as justcarl has said I would cancel my subscription as soon as possible because they will send you a coin each month for inflated prices. You can send them back each month but its a big hassle because its usually nothing you really want and especially at the price they want for the coins

I did something like that with an ad out of Coin World: send 3 bucks and you get a Standing Liberty quarter, and coins would be sent monthly, buy the ones I wanted, and send the rest back. The prices were a bit high, but I did it for several months until I decided to cancel. And luckily they listened, and stopped. That was before I found out about the coin show in my area, and the dealer half an hour from me, oh and before I started to use ebay.
